Phill has over 25 years’ experience as an independent financial adviser. He specialises in working with high net worth clients, business owners and their other professional advisers, providing strategic advice and planning solutions at all stages of their lives. He graduated from the University of York with a BA in Pure Economics in 1981 and went on to work at Marks and Spencer and the Tootal Group before becoming a director of Torevell Mahon Granville in 1989. He co-founded Dewhurst Torevell in 1997, and established Five Wealth in 2016. As well as being dedicated to his clients, Phill is a committed family man. He married Alison in 1988 and they have two daughters, who make sure that home life is extremely busy! Sport and keeping fit are an important part of Phill’s life as is his commitment to a range of voluntary work.

Phil is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He advises a broad range of clients including professionals, business owners and high net worth individuals. During a ten-year stint at Dewhurst Torevell he became a director of the firm, leaving in 2016 in order to co-found Five Wealth. With a BA (Hons) in Economic and Social History, Phil spent eight years at Norwich Union, beginning as a Graduate Trainee and later becoming an IFA Consultant. He followed this with nearly three years at Standard Life as an IFA Consultant. His career began in a completely different field, however – in the RAF, working for four years as part of its Mountain Rescue Service. Phil is married to Kerry with one daughter, Hannah. In his spare time he is a keen cyclist, occasionally tries to ski, and is sometimes still spotted halfway up a mountain.

Stephen Hughes

Steve is a Chartered Financial Planner and an Associate of the Personal Finance Society. He provides specialist advice to professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs and looks after high net worth clients across the UK. With a BSocSci (Hons) in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Birmingham, Steve started his career in financial services at Friends Provident in 1996. He joined Dewhurst Torevell in 2000, where he became Assistant Director and Head of Investment Research (responsible for co-ordinating the management of approximately £750m) before co-founding Five Wealth in 2016. Steve loves getting deep into the countryside and hills. He is a ‘retired’ ironman but still attempts to raise money for good causes by entering triathlons or other events that are way too long. Steve also co-ordinates Five Wealth’s charitable activities.

Stephen Jordan

Steve looks after a range of high net worth individuals, with particular skills in advising business owners, entrepreneurs and high-income professionals. He spent 11 years at Dewhurst Torevell, rising to the position of Assistant Director, before co-founding Five Wealth in 2016. With a BSc in Economics and Politics, and previous experience in financial outsourcing in Leeds and Sheffield, Steve now spends much of his time working with businesses and individuals based across the UK. Steve is married to Jo; they have two young children, Tabitha and Franklin. He is also an armchair Manchester United fan and regularly attempts to play squash.
