An excellent opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake a graduate position as a trainee paraplanner for Five Wealth Limited, providing support to the firm’s financial advisers and the wider financial planning team within their central Manchester office.

Five Wealth Limited is a Wealth Management company based in Manchester City Centre. Focused on helping individuals and businesses understand and plan for their financial future, the company was established by the five directors in August 2016. With the directors combined advisory experience of more than 100 years, and the backing of a team of 14 paraplanning and administrative staff, the company has clients throughout the UK and manages assets of more than £430m on behalf of these clients.

The directors of Five Wealth have been involved with the university graduate programme for several years, initially through their previous firm, and are pleased to be able to continue their association through the new company. The graduate programme has proved to be very successful with many of the candidates we have taken on now key members of the team.

You will be working within a busy team and your role will include providing technical, research and administrative support to the advisers, preparing portfolio valuations and supporting material for client meetings, and writing suitability reports to clients. You will be using specialist software to analyse the performance and suitability of client portfolios and will be required to present your findings in a clear manner. You will be given full training by the existing team members, and this will also include the relevant IT systems and the processes used within the company.

There will also be the opportunity to attend fund management meetings, as part of the ongoing investment research carried out by the company, as well as technical training sessions provided by external specialists.

After 12 months, the company will provide the opportunity for the candidate to begin an examination programme to assist in professional/technical development.

Qualifications  : No specific degree subject requirements, however this role has previously suited graduates in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Business related areas.
Skills: This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a professional individual that is highly numerate, IT proficient and enjoys using their initiative. In addition, strong report writing skills are essential. You will need to be organised, and able to plan and prioritise your own workload in order to meet deadlines. You will have contact with colleagues, third parties and clients and therefore need to be a confident communicator that can work with discretion.

No previous experience in financial services is required, however a natural interest in financial and investment matters is important.

Language requirements: Strong written English skills beneficial
